Services: Feasibility Study for the densification of 4 residential areas - approx. 4.0ha

The owners wanted to receive a recommendation on the densification and modernisation of four social housing areas built in the 1950s and 1960s in the districts of Hofstede and Weitmar in Bochum. In a feasibility study, we proposed four projects for the densification of the different residential areas, adding one or two floors to each of the housing typologies, the modernisation of the facades and the consequent energy optimisation of the buildings, as well as the restructuring and improvement of the outdoor areas - more trees, playgrounds, litter areas as well as new parking areas for bicycles, cars and electric charging zones.
